Liquid chlorine and a dosing system
Sodium hypochlorite is unstabilised chlorine: it does not introduce cyanuric acid. It is commonly fed from a compatible tank through a metering pump. A product change still requires the operator to verify the equipment, supplied concentration and dosing settings.
Consumption and storage
Hypochlorite loses strength in storage, with heat and sunlight accelerating deterioration. State your expected consumption and storage arrangement when requesting litres. We will confirm the supplied specification and practical delivery options. Shelf life and strength after storage depend on the product and storage conditions.
Water balance and handling
Liquid chlorine can increase pH, so monitor chlorine and pH together under the pool’s operating procedure. Keep the product separated from acids and other chemicals, and follow the current supplied label and SDS. Pool chemical selection does not establish suitability for drinking-water treatment.
Questions before buying
Do I request litres or a number of drums?
Enter the litres required. Container sizes are confirmed when we quote; a litre request is not a promise of a particular pack or partial-container supply. If you only know your current drum size, describe it in the enquiry.
How do I confirm the chlorine concentration?
Confirm the available-chlorine specification for the supplied product in the quotation and product documents. Use that specification when setting the dosing rate; storage can also change strength.
Can I arrange repeat deliveries?
Tell us the litres normally used, preferred frequency and delivery district. We will confirm availability, container options and delivery arrangements. A requested schedule is subject to written confirmation.
What do you need to check a product change?
Share the current product name and strength, dosing pump and tank details, current pool readings and expected consumption. Do not mix the new product with remaining chemicals or assume that old dosing settings remain suitable.
